 As an English major with a creative writing specialization, you can soon be an article writer, blogger and much more at Flourish Sales Corp, “Instantly connecting local sellers to local buyers.

Flourish Sales Corp (FSC) is a  unified local multi-vendor marketplace through which local Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises can connect with customers living within their community. With the focus centered on promoting and supporting local businesses during and after the pandemic,  the founder of FSC, a UNB student, would like to extend his gratitude to UNB by offering a creative writing competition that will help students gain  experience on writing SEO blog posts, articles and product descriptions. Our main purpose will be to bring forth to the public on the various products and goals of Flourish Sales Corp.

 Competition requirements

  • English Majors with Specialization in Creative Writing will be mainly considered. However, students in Journalism and Communication are most welcome to apply as well.
  • Preferably, Third- and Fourth-years students.


  • English  - Native or Bilingual
  • French   - Native /Bilingual (Not necessary, but mostly preferred since we are in a bilingual province)

About This Competition with a weekly Winner of $50 per article.

Students will be required to write engaging articles, blog posts and/or web content for a wide range of our topics and they will also be connected to our B2B clients. The topics students are required to be familiar with include, but not limited to; marketing, finance, e-commerce, lifestyle, climate change, supporting local, literature and popular culture to  demonstrate the writer’s diverse writing capabilities. Regardless of the topic, the avid writers should be able to produce  informed, insightful, and thorough articles/ posts.

  • Conversational/ Friendly
  • Professional/Formal


Articles/blog posts of 500 to 1500 words

If needed, the winners may be requested to review their articles/ posts for up to three times for great content and quality writing. The articles would be featured on our blogs with the writer's name on our website.

There will be a winner every week.
