Flourish Sales Corp (Flourish) - Instantly connecting local sellers to local buyers. A unified local multi-vendor marketplace through which local Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises can connect with customers living within their community. Flourish is looking for a Marketing and Communications University Student to join our multidisciplinary team. You will have the opportunity to work on new and exciting projects while providing clients with legendary and superior customer service experience.



Flourish is seeking an enthusiastic and creative Marketing & Communications Coordinator to work closely with Bonfire Communication Marketing company to help develop and coordinate marketing and social media content for Flourish and its local SMEs partners.


Work Schedule: Thirty-five (35) hours per week. Specific construction projects may require overtime.

Hourly Wage: Starting at $18 to $20 per hour (Competitive wages are based on experience and education)

Duration of Employment:  May 2nd to September 2nd, 2022


Deadline:  April 20th, 2022


The Marketing & Communications Coordinator is accountable for developing original content and suggesting creative ways to attract partners and clients across various channels and collateral.


Accountabilities include but are not limited to:


·      Developing content and designing creative collateral that aligns with broader marketing and business strategies

·      Promoting and developing brand awareness

·      Increasing web traffic and customer engagement metrics

Responsibilities include:

·      Writing compelling content for various mediums, including press releases, blog posts, newsletters, emails, print collateral and other editorial-based content

·      Developing, implementing, and managing social media strategies and marketing campaigns

·      Repurposing existing content for different channels

·      Developing brand voice and maintaining brand and message integrity across all platforms.

·      Management of company website by creating/developing and updating online content; ensuring functionality and user-friendliness

·      Strategizing, building, and publishing digital content on platforms including WordPress, HubSpot, MailChimp and other digital properties

·      Working with the Communications & Marketing Manager to write press releases and deliver presentations

·      Monitoring SEO and user engagement and suggesting content optimization

·      Measuring the success of social media campaigns and client reached

·      Updating and posting events on internal and community calendars




·      Enthusiasm for the organization’s mission and the economic opportunities in the region.

·      A self-starter with a bias for action and the ability to adapt to evolving Startup priorities

·      Strong organizational and project management skills.

·      Ability to multitask and manage competing deadlines.

·      Thorough understanding of marketing elements (including traditional and digital marketing such as SEO/social media etc.) and marketing tools (marketing automation software)

·      Demonstrable graphic design skills,

·      experienced website developer and management

·      Experience with Adobe Creative Suite,

·      Web flow and Canva

·      Superior English and French verbal and written communication skills, impactful copy and editorial writing

·      Ability to write engaging content for a B2B audience

·      Ability to engage in in-person presentations and pitching to a B2B audience

·      Proven ability to write for different audiences and different platforms, using varying voices and writing styles as appropriate to audiences and platforms

·      Ability to develop and manage social media strategies and campaigns

·      Excellent attention to detail

·      Sound knowledge of Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram and other social media best practices

·      Familiarity with marketing tools

·      Ability to think creatively and make recommendations that will improve the brand and marketing materials; provide constructive insight and feedback

·      Comfortable with public speaking and pitching

·      Critical thinker and problem-solving skills with a focus on execution

·      Team player & excellent interpersonal skills




•                University student or degree holder in journalism, marketing, communications, or public relations required (completed 3rd years bachelor studies minimum)

•                Valid NB driver’s license (Class 5)

•                Communication in English or French (both languages would be an asset)

•                Minimum one year of relevant experience

•                High attention to detail.

•                Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.

•                Must be reliable, trustworthy and have a positive attitude.

•                Ability to maintain a professional working relationship with co-workers and clients.

•                Ability to prioritize, multitask and attention to details, and make clear timely decisions.

•                Writing sample and portfolio of work may be requested
